What are you waiting for? Money is not going to magically come your way with no effort on your part. No one is going to ring your door bell and give you a large sum of money and although some lucky people do win the lottery we cannot count on such improbable things when planing our financial future. You must take concrete action and you must do it now without putting things off any longer.

Building wealth is not as difficult as one may think. But it does take focus, dedication, persistence and hard work. You really need to develop a game plan and force yourself to stay on track. Just thinking about it is not going to get you anywhere until you act and keep acting.

I have a friend who comes to me every couple of months with a new business idea. I’m going to do this, he says, or I’m going to do that and make lots of money.  A month later I always ask him how it’s going and so far every time he has told me “Oh it was very hard, there was so much more involved in it than I first thought, I decided not to do it.” Do I think that some of his business ideas could have made money? Yes. But he has never followed through with any of his ideas over the twenty years or so that I have known him.  As soon as he realized that money is not just going to flow to him without hard work, he gets discouraged and gives up his idea going back to looking for a quick way to get rich without hard work.

Well… I got news for you. You are not going to get rich quick. It requires hard work and persistence among other things. You may try an idea, work hard at it and see it fail. If this happens to you, do not get discouraged. Learn from your mistakes and move on to something else. Never give up! Next time you will not make the same mistakes and you will have a better chance to succeed. Those people who get discouraged and give up never make it big.  Just take a look at most successful business owners. Most of them started other businesses in the past, they failed, but did not give up. Instead they kept trying over and over again being persistent and learning from their mistakes and growing their business skills. If you keep trying eventually you too will succeed.

So get off your ass and start taking action. Weather it is starting a new business, starting to build your passive income portfolio or starting to put some money away into your emergency fund, the point is that if you do not take action, no one is going to do it for you.

Money seldom comes to us by accident. But it does come when action is put into reality. When opportunity appears, it will only pass you by unless you grab the opportunity and make the most of it.  So start taking actions today and change your life for the better.  Be persistent and once you start realizing some level of success it will only motivate you to work at it even harder and make even more money.
