An Alternative Blueprint for Making Money Online on Autopilot
Last time we discussed in a three part course, how it is possible to generate a truly passive income online, through a technique called BSF. For this course we used blogs and created them in a manner so that they could run without any maintenance after they were created.
While blogs are most suitable for this type of revenue generation, the technique is by no means limited to blogs alone. In this regard, we decided to provide you with an alternative type of site, where the BSF method would also work in a similar fashion, that would allow you to create a network running on autopilot.
Blogs are most suitable due to the fact that they are easy to set up, and by adding a ready-made plug-in to the blogging software, we can get it to obtain content automatically. An entirely different kind of site, has those same quality for automation, yet works in an entirely different area of the Internet. Those sites are called Proxy sites.
What are proxy sites
Proxy sites are gateways, that people can use to surf the web, and hide their real IP address. Some of you, may immediately get visions of all kinds of shady practices this is used for, but that is not the purpose of a proxy site.
Proxy sites provide access for people that connect to the web in a restricted fashion, like the censorship in China, restricted web access at work, schools, and the list goes on.
When people need to get online, but can’t due to these restrictions, a proxy often offers the solution, and this we can use to our advantage.
Setting up a proxy site
Setting up a proxy site is even easier then setting up a blog. What you do is download one of the proxy scripts, which are freely available. Installing the script requires no technical knowledge, you can just add your affiliate codes, and upload it to your web space, and your proxy site is ready to go.
Of course some personalizing is required, which is done by downloading a theme and adjusting the variables to match your own, and then simply upload those files as well.
That is all, your proxy site is ready, so let’s get the traffic going
Traffic
Of course, now we are working with proxy sites, we cannot use blog directories to submit to, instead of those we do the same to proxy directories. For this purpose there are free auto submitters available, so just like with the blogs, you add the reciprocal links, only once to the theme template, and you are ready to auto submit to hundreds of proxy directories, with a few clicks of the mouse.
Once that is done, build another proxy site, and repeat the process.
Things you need to know before starting a proxy network
Proxies require a lot of bandwidth, which means that a normal hosting account most likely cannot support them. In order to start building proxy sites, take an account with a specialized proxy host, that can handle the traffic you will receive. A good proxy host will not charge more for hosting than any other regular webhost, but will have their bandwidth tailored to hosting proxy sites.
Affiliate programs
For the revenue streams you most likely will be using the same ones as with blogs, with the exception of Linkbucks. It is important to know, that Google Adsense is only allowed on the proxy main page. People using the proxy will do so through a frame set where at the top you can add your advertising. On there, use Adbrite, who does allow for this type of traffic, and will pay well for it.
Other then the above, everything works the same as a blog network would, so refer to the three part course for details on running a network on autopilot.
Happy building!
